One of my students gave me these two rice, seaweed and egg dolls last Thursday for "Hina Matsuri" which is a celebration day for girls. I think these two are quite cute. The student said the dolls were the crown prince and princess. Roger that. The heads were made from little eggs, but the face on the boy doll got smushed on my ride home -- bouncing around in the wicked basket of my wicked bike. Anyway the dolls were rather tasty and thank you to Kazumi for her kindness in giving them to me.
