Well hello there...
It's been a while since posting, so big thanks to thin white geisha for keeping the FWG fat with posts and pictures. To keep up my end, I submit for your edification the following. Enjoy. Looking forward to Kate's show. Finished reading Ian McEwan's Amsterdam the other day. I was awed by all but the last five pages. Started reading Babara Gowdy's The Romantic and was awed by the first five pages. Watched King Arthur and The Alamo on DVD this week and was awed by neither. Rode my one-speed bike up a hill here in town -- 4 km to the top and just about squeaked my basket off on the way down because my breaks are so bad and sound like stuck pigs. Interaction with Japanese people continues to be at a standstill. This week's intimacy highpoint was when one of my co-workers looked over at me before lunch and said, "I am a hungry boy!" Ah well. Anyway, I want to keep this post short for the sake of not pushing Kate's poster down too far. Love you all. Miss you fiercely. Please come to visit.

grantie - i've had a houseful of
guests this week, most notably jewel and heather (who met each other for the first time) and they
both send big love out to you!
also - jack hodgins has asked me to send out the word for his mallorca writing workshop this september - he wants good people to apply. they might cancel it if not enough people sign up. put it out to your iowa pack. i don't have the website offhand but i can send it along if it's hard to find on google...
miss both of you. i wish you were in toronto with me.
