Bunkasai This

Today was Higashi Koukou's bunkasai (cultural festival) and I sang a song. I was sandwiched between karaoke acts (Japanese pop music is terrible) and a skit that involved my co-teacher running around the stage in nothing but blue spandex dressed as Doraemon (I've just learned who/what this is...)and spanking the other actors rear-ends with a bamboo broom. Is this, do you think, what the JET progamme means by "internationalization?"
